Hey Friends,
Welcome back to another cozy corner of My Life As A Mom! Whether you’re reading this with a cup of coffee in hand or during a quiet moment (finally!), I’m so glad you’re here.
This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about how easy it is to put ourselves last. Between school runs, meals, laundry, and everything in between, “me time” can feel like a luxury. But here’s the truth: your hobbies aren’t extra, they’re essential.
🌿 Hobby Spotlight: Rediscovering Simple Joys
You don’t need hours of free time or a big budget to enjoy a hobby. This week, I picked up my old journal again. Just 10 minutes a day helped me clear my mind and reconnect with myself. Other easy ideas:
- Sketching while kids do homework
- Trying a new recipe just for fun
- Gardening (even a small windowsill counts!)
💡 Mom Tip of the Week
Create a “hobby basket.” Keep all your supplies (yarn, books, paints, etc.) in one place so you can easily grab it when you have a spare moment. Less setup = more doing.
❤️ Real Talk
If you’ve been feeling guilty about taking time for yourself, consider this your reminder: taking care of your joy helps you show up better for your family. You deserve that space.
📌 This Week’s Mini Challenge
Spend 15 minutes on something you love, no multitasking allowed. Just you and your hobby.
I’d love to hear from you! What hobbies have you been enjoying lately? Hit reply or share your thoughts on the blog.
Until next time,
Keep nurturing your passions, you’re worth it.
Warmly,
~My Life As A Mom
