Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

First of the holiday cookies!!!

Ingredients

1 cup of all purpose four

1/2 baking soda

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup of shorten(soften)

1/4 cup of brown sugar

1/4 cup of granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. of vanilla extract

1 & 1/2 cups of old fashion oats

1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1.) Mix flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking soda. Whisk the ingredients and put to the side.

2.) In another bowl add brown sugar, sugar, shorten and vanilla flavor beat together with a hand mixture until cream. After the mixture is fully mix together add the egg and mix together. After the egg is incorporated into the battle slowly add the flour mixture until it forms a dough.

3.) Add your oats and chocolate chips to the mixture and fold together.

4.) After all of the mixture is fold together. Pour into a place wrap and put into fridge for 30 minutes or longer.

5.) After cookies is firm roll out the dough or make into balls and put unto parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Bake cookies for 8 to 10 minutes. Take them out and put them on a cooling rack.

Born and raise in Georgia to a wonderful family. I graduated from Northeast High School and went to University of Phoenix, during my time in college I got pregnant with my first child. It was a hard first few months trying to figure out to stay in school as well take care of a child. During my last year of college I got my first Job at a Private Country Club. That was my first time learning how to really multitask with school, taking care of my daughter, and working. Well three years later I finish with my Bachelor of Science of Administration degree next spring I will go back to get my Master degree in Psychology. I wanted to start this blog to basically show my journey of what I can do as a mom as well aspire other mom out there that no matter what you can do anything that you can put your mind too as well do something that make you happy in life.
