Hey Friends,
Welcome back to My Life As A Mom! If your week has felt anything like mine, it’s probably been a mix of snack requests, unfinished to-do lists, and tiny moments of joy squeezed in between it all. And honestly, that’s exactly what this space is about.
🌿 Finding Time for You (Yes, Really)
Let’s start with a gentle reminder: you are allowed to have hobbies that don’t revolve around your kids. Whether it’s reading a few pages before bed, tending to your plants, journaling, crafting, or even learning something new, those small pockets of “you time” matter more than you think.
This week, try this:
- Set aside just 15 minutes a day for something you enjoy
- Let go of guilt, it’s not selfish, it’s necessary
- Notice how it shifts your mood, even slightly
☕ Hobby Spotlight: Slow Mornings
If your mornings are usually chaotic, consider reclaiming just part of them. Wake up 10–15 minutes earlier (I know, I know 😅), and do something calming:
- Sip coffee while it’s still hot
- Write a quick gratitude list
- Stretch or breathe deeply before the day begins
It doesn’t have to be perfect, just intentional.
🎨 Simple Joys This Week
Here are a few easy hobby ideas you can try without much prep:
- Start a mini photo journal on your phone
- Try a 10-minute DIY project
- Bake something simple with or without the kids
- Listen to a podcast while folding laundry (multitasking win!)
💬 Real Talk
Motherhood is beautiful, but it’s also exhausting. You don’t have to lose yourself in it. Your hobbies, your interests, your quiet moments… they are part of what makes you you, not just “mom.”
And that version of you deserves attention, too.
❤️ Before You Go
If you tried something new this week, even something small, I’d love to hear about it. Hit reply or share your moment. This is a space for real moms, real lives, and realistic joy.
Until next time,
Take a breath, take a moment, take care of yourself.
