Moment As A Mother

Lord, I have the conviction that your presence in my life makes it better: when I let you into my heart, you inform the way I treat others, the way I approach work, the way I move through my days. And good things are meant to be shared! God, help me to share with others the good wisdom I have learned from you. I don’t have to proselytize . That’s not my style. But through my actions I can demonstrate my beliefs, and in this way create a ripple effect:good begetting good begetting good, with results far beyond what I might even be able to apprehend.

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

– 2 Timothy 2:2

Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a hit-and-run accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from it.

Charlie starts doing jobs for Mr. Bowditch and loses his heart to Radar. Then, when Bowditch dies, he leaves Charlie a cassette tape telling a story no one would believe. What Bowditch knows, and has kept secret all his long life, is that inside the shed is a portal to another world.

King’s storytelling in Fairy Tale soars. This is a magnificent and terrifying tale in which good is pitted against overwhelming evil, and a heroic boy—and his dog—must lead the battle.

Essential Oil Benefits

What Are Essential Oils?

What are essential oils? Essential oils are the essence of a plant, a gift from the earth, distilled and prepared for you to bring the power of nature into your home.

Inside many plants—hidden in roots, seeds, flowers, bark—are concentrated, highly potent chemical compounds. These natural compounds are essential oils.

Essential oils give a plant its scent, protect it from hazardous environmental conditions, and even assist it with pollination, among other important functions and benefits.

How Do Essential Oils Work?

When you open a bottle of pure, unadulterated essential oil, your senses are instantly filled with its potent aroma, even from a distance. What your nose detects are the naturally occurring elements of the essential oil.

Every essential oil varies in its natural makeup, so aromas and benefits are also unique. For example, Lavender oil includes elements that make it effective for soothing skin irritations, and promoting a restful environment for sleep.

Meanwhile, when taken internally, Frankincense oil supports immune, nervous, and digestive systems, and aids in healthy cellular function.*

Garden Tips

Hey Friends,

Are you getting your garden ready for spring? What type of vegetables are you growing this year? Are you growing vegetables for the first time and need some advice? Well, I can just let you know I am not an expert, but can I let you know what works for me and how I keep my garden in top shape?

Here are my top 7 tips that work for me:

  1. Have a watering schedule – Keeping your garden water is the top key to keeping your garden flourishing and healthy. If your garden is not getting the proper water that it needs your garden can die from thirst.
  2. Choose a day out of the week to give your plants the proper plant food. I like to give my plants and All Purpose Plant food to give them a boost in their growth. Giving your plants plant food gives them the extra boost of nutrients they need to grow bigger and stronger as well as produce a lot of vegetables and fruits for the season.
  3. Know what to plant with each other. This is a BIG key to planting your vegetables. Planting your vegetables with the wrong vegetables can mean disaster. Let me explain: I learned from my mistake a couple of years ago when I planted the type of tomatoes with each other Big boy and cherry tomatoes. You will think that since they both are tomatoes they can be planted with each other in the same box. That’s a BIG NO. Even though both of them are tomatoes Big Boy destroyed my Cherry tomato plant. When planting your vegetables look at the package of your seeds or container and check the height to see see how tall your particular plant is going to grow and organized it that way. Also, make sure to give your plants enough space to grow.
  4. Fertilizer (All Purpose Plant Food Number 2) is another great way to give your plants the best boost of nutrition they need when it comes to growing, getting bigger, and producing a lot of vegetables. Making sure that your plants get the best fertilizer when it comes to producing vegetables is top-notch. My favorite fertilizer is the Miracle Grow All Purpose Plant Food.
  5. Sunlight – This is the key to making sure that your vegetables, herbs, and fruits, grow, without sunlight your plants will not grow to their full potential. Choosing the right spot in your garden is also key. You want to make sure that the spot where you choose to plant your vegetables gets at least 4 to 6 six hours of sunlight.
  6. Start Small – My most important advice to give someone that wants to start a garden for the first time is to start small. That was the best advice I got from my mom when I started my garden. That way you can control your garden a little more as well as learn what you can grow and what you can’t grow. One thing about growing plants from seed is that you can always start over.
  7. Use small batches of seeds – I love to use small batches of seeds instead of using all of my seeds at once that way I have control of my seeds and do not waste any seeds just in case those particular seeds don’t grow.
